Having been in the same collection for the better part of the last two decades, this rarely seen Boss is finally availble for purchase. This rare Mustang was refinished in its original Grabber Orange paint and featuring the shaker hood scoop, correct striping, front and rear spoilers, and the rear window sport slats, this Boss looks menacing! Restored a few years back and strictly garage kept, the exterior is in pristine condition. As the pictures show, the panel fit is good and the body is laser straight, with the underside almost as nice! Inward, the Black Rhino Corinthian Vinyl seats are in near new condition, along with the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Factory equipment verified by the Marti report includes an AM radio, tachometer, power steering, magnum 500 wheels, and heavy duty battery.
The highly detailed engine compartment reveals the potent 302 that rebuilt to factory specifications. With Cleveland-style heads, a race prepped crank, a solid lifter cam, heavy duty rods, and forged pistons this engine makes 290 horsepower and 290 pounds of torque but was known to be well underrated. The 302 is backed by the factory ordered wide ratio 4 speed transmission and a optional Trac-Lok 3.91 rear end. This Boss starts easily and settles into a deep rumble, the shaker hood scoop motioning for you to get ready. Whether you are grabbing gears or just cruising, the suspension and steering are tight. Mash the gas and the 302 will plant you in your seat, but the brakes will quickly slow down the polyglass tires.
