1957 SOLD CARS 210
1957 Chevy 210 Coupe. Silver with black and white interior. EXTREMELY RARE 18K ALL ORIGINAL MILES, from the well known Joe Hrudka (Mr. Gasket) collection. This ’57 features the factory 283ci/245hp engine with original dual-quad upgrade, and retains the factory automatic Powerglide transmission. The paint and body are in truly amazing timewarp original condition, showing excellent gloss for its age. All chrome and trim remain in great condition as well. The interior is also exceptionally preserved. The dash is clean and clear, and the seating surfaces remain firm and sharp, showing well above average. The chassis is also original, and shows in great condition. One hundred percent original 57s like this do not come around every day. This car must be seen to be believed!
The Chevy 210 represented Chevy’s upgrade model passenger car starting in 1953, replacing the Styleline DeLuxe series. Almost all of the options available on the Bel-Air were also available on the 210, including all of the various possible engine selections. 1957 would be the last and most desirable year for the 210 series, owing to the availability of Chevy’s brand new 283ci small block V8 and advanced transmission options.
Getting behind the wheel of this 210 is like stepping into a part of automotive history. The car has a thick, solid feel, just as it did when it rolled off the assembly line 52 years ago. It is truly a pleasure to drive; this ’57 pulls very strong and goes just where you point it. Even the smell of the interior brings you back to an earlier time and place, and unlike many modern vehicles, the 210’s comfortable bench seating provides ample leg room, and then some. The gauges are clear, the throttle is crisp, and the view from the driver’s seat is truly spectacular.
