1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau Coupe. Sahara Beige with Emberglo Red interior. Rare factory “Q” code 428ci V8! This ’66 T-Bird is in very original excellent condition showing just 43k miles. The subject of a very high quality refinish, the exterior is in exceptional condition. All aspects of the paint surface remain fantastic, including the rockers and door jambs. The vinyl roof is free of tears and wear. This T-Bird’s interior is in great condition as well, sporting the breathtaking Emberglo trim. The seating surfaces all around show almost no wear whatsoever, and the gauges remain clear and crisp. Carpet is clean and shows no fading, and even the kick panels look like new. Also, the headliner is tight and sag-free. Mechanically, this T-Bird is very tight as well, with all equipment in good working order, including the sequential turn signals, hood mounted signal indicators, and A/C. Ford marketed four Thunderbird models for 1966, the first year since 1963 to offer more than three models. The Town Hardtop and the Town Landau would be the two new ones, joining the Conventional Hardtop and the Convertible. The 1966 models received a very becoming face lift to their interiors, with new trim patterns on the seats, door panels, and rear quarter trim. The Thunderbird received very attractive exterior styling touches as well. As the curtain closed on the 1966 model year, so closed a long and distinguished chapter in the Ford Thunderbird's history.
