1970 Jaguar XKE Series II Coupe featuring the desirable color combination of a Red Exterior over a Black Leather Interior. This XKE has been the recent recipient of a full service and subtle restoration. It features the 4.2L straight-6 engine, fully synchromesh 4-speed, and desirable triple Weber carbs. This Series II Coupe also is equipped with Air Conditioning, an option in that year, but a rare find just the same. Open headlights without glass covers, a wrap-around rear bumper, re-positioned with tail lights below and larger front indicators are hallmarks of Series 2 cars.  Better cooling aided by an enlarged "mouth" and twin electric fans, and upgraded brakes were also upgrades in 1970.  The interior featured more comfortable seating than in the past and the dashboard was redesigned with rocker switches that met US safety regulations being substituted for the old toggle switches.

The Jaguar XKE is a British automobile, manufactured by Jaguar between 1961 and 1975. It was a combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing during that era. Comparable Ferraris cost three times more and supplied less horse power. In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in the Daily Telegraph's list of the "100 most beautiful cars" of all time. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s.

Slide into our E-Type and you are transported back to the pinnacle of Jaguar history. Throw the car into first gear, and you will note the extremely positive shifts and well defined gates. The steering wheel is well proportioned, allowing for ample leverage at both high and low speeds. The ride is sports car taut, but not harsh in any way. This car is accompanied by extensive records of service and ownership along with the Jaguar heritage trust certificate. A through TLD inspection, service and detail have recently been performed and this exceptional automobile is now ready for its next owner to enjoy for many years to come.
