Custom ordered from Beck, this Speedster looks like new in Guards red with a contrasting tan interior and soft top. The exterior finish is in highly polished condition, and the trim throughout is near new. Having both bumpers removed, the custom made bumperettes are the highlight of both ends. Panel fit overall is correct and better than new. Sleek is the only way to describe this Speedster. Inward, the full leather interior seats and interior welcome the driver. A Nardi, wood steering wheel hints at the proper thought the previous owner put into the car. Behind that, the gauges are simple, clear, and concise. Matching coco mats are noted as included.
The custom ordered 2.7 liter, twin plug engine was hand built by the mad scientists at Air Cooled Technology. The MASSIVE Type 4 engine is ported and polished and fed by 48mm Dellorto DRLA carburetors. On the other end, a custom built exhaust lets people know that this little speedster means business. Estimates peg peak horsepower at 200 and torque at 184 pounds. The 4 speed transmission is made by Rancho Performance and features their HD aluminum case with custom gearing and a CSP Shifter. This Speedster starts quickly and settles into and ominous rumble. Around town it is very docile, but comes to life once you enter the freeway! Shifts are crisps and the car rides smooth through all gears.
