Our 1935 Ford Deluxe Coupe is finished in a mirror-like maroon with gray mohair interior. Its been completely restored to show condition and is extremely period-correct. It features the correct flathead V-8 motor and 3-speed, floor mounted gear change. It also boasts a number of Ford extras that include a rumble seat, roll down rear window, radio w/speaker, working rear view mirror clock, dual side mirrors, driving lights, chromed horns, greyhound mascot and grill guard. Many of these were standard equipment on the Deluxe model. In 1932, Ford would introduce one of the most recognizable vehicles to date with the V-8 coupe. The flathead motor produced plenty of punch (85 horsepower) and had the windswept looks to match. Subtle and refined styling cues based on the shield-shaped grill that first appeared in 1933, hinted at the evolution into the rounder and smoother aerodynamic shapes that would follow. With its unmistakable Deusenberg-like grill, which was unique to the `35 model and flowing body lines, the Ford, 5-window coupe would become the symbol of Fords dominance, and in later years, the icon of the hot-rod industry. The 1935 Deluxe Coupe offered here is in exceptional condition. One mostly finds cars such as this heavily altered and in nearly unrecognizable form. Our car is a pleasant and worthy exception.
