This 1938 Chevrolet passenger-car lines stand tall today as a masterpiece of streamlined automobile design from the famed Harley Earl GM styling studios. Restorers, drag racers, hot rodders and customizers have chosen the 1938 Chevrolet from new as the ideal canvas for their art forms and this 1938 Chevrolet Master Town Sedan is an outstanding case in point that maintains its original styling with a high-quality, award-winning build and known history from new.

Beginning as a one-owner vehicle from 1938 through 1983, confirmed by the original 1939-83 stamped Ohio title document, this 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe town Sedan was acquired by the second owner during the late 1980s. Subsequently, they had fiberglass running boards installed and the body professionally refinished in visually striking Metallic Green paint. Other exterior highlights include a Speedline Bird hood ornament, Body by fisher badges, and hand-laid pin stripes. Powertrain upgrades included a 345 HP 350 CI ZZ3 GM V-8 crate engine and Hurst-shifted M20 four-speed manual transmission.

The second owner's son acquired the car in 2015 and added the attractive, staggered-diameter 18- and 20-inch) Rushforth alloy wheels, mounting Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires showing 2014 date codes. The interior was handsomely retrimmed in Brown leather and Tan suede upholstery. Other updates include a Holley double-pumper carburetor, Delco ignition system, ceramic-coated exhaust headers, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and manual cut-outs, plus a Ford 9-inch rear end, front disc brakes, gas shocks, and VDO gauges. Passenger amenities include front lap belts, a glovebox with an inset clock, and a burled wood steering wheel.

While built to enjoy, the Chevrolet is a high-level show winner, having placed first in the 1935-1948 Custom Rod class at the 2022 Detroit Autorama. Extensive mechanical service and maintenance work was completed during 2020-23, confirmed by recodes on file. Other accompanying items include the vehicle's original stamped 1938 Ohio title and the custom-mixed paint/color formulas. Don't miss out on this cool classic Chevrolet Street Rod, built and maintained for Show and Go enjoyment as desired. Contact us today to see it for yourself and prepare to make it yours in time for the summer cruising season!
