At the time, Bill Mitchell was the young designer that penned the dramatic 60 Special and only 5500 units were produced in 1939. This one left the factory and went directly to the Derham Carrige Builders facility in Pennsylvania to be re-bodied as a limousine. The Black exterior finish is in excellent shape and features the pointed center grill with functional diecast side grills, narrowed headlights fitted to the radiator casting, optional fog lights and chrome reveals on all windows. A Removable Leather Roof over the chauffeurs compartment gives the car an open air mystique. Power comes from a recently serviced 346cui 8 cylinder engine with a 3 speed synchro manual transmission. There are hydraulic brakes on all four wheels. The interior is in exceptional condition as well. It features Black vinyl drivers area, divided by retractable glass to the immaculate Tan cloth passengers seating in the rear. All gauges and equipment function as they should. All lenses and glass are in exceptional shape as well. The Cadillac limousines we built for executives and dignitaries. Most were built on the Fleetwood Series 75s longer wheel base.
