1941 Cadillac Series 62 5-Passenger Deluxe Sedan. Finished in Managua Beige with a Tan Heather interior. An original survivor, this 41 has been well preserved and remains in great condition with just over 32k miles, which are believed to be original. The original body is extremely solid, and the factory original paint shows very well with a delightful classic patina. All chrome trim is very good to excellent throughout with the vast majority of pieces showing none to very minor pitting. The original interior presents very well also. A taut headliner shows no signs of sag whatsoever, and is pulled tight at all four corners. Crisp and clear gauges adorn the dash, and the seats remain firm and plush, with all seat covers in exceptional shape. An untouched original trunk, engine bay, and underside are all still very respectable and solid. This Cadillac has also been optioned with the Hydra-Matic transmission, a rarity in 41, and is paired with the original 8 cylinder. The Cadillac Series 62 was first introduced in 1941 to replace the ageing mid-size model, the Series 70. Using bodies by Fisher, the Series 62 would arrive with a 129-in wheelbase and a new L-Head V8 delivering 150hp. A desirable but costly option that year was the Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, offering greater ease and convenience for the luxury driver. Greater amounts of chrome trim were used, and the new design overall reflected a more modern look. Cadillac sales that year would rise to a new all-time high, and continued to be produced until the war brought production to a halt after 1942. The Cadillac Series 62 is the pinnacle of pre-war American luxury motoring. A graceful line catches your eye as you approach the auto. Upon entering it, you are transported back in time to a classic era. Turn the key, engage the ignition, and the 8 cylinder comes rumbling to life, settling into a smooth whir. The gauges and dials invoke nostalgia with their large white numbering on a smooth metallic back and gold needles. With the automatic transmission, simply move the easy to use column shifter into place and you are ready to go without any further hassle. Truly a thrilling ride in a premiere American luxury car of the early 40s.
