The first year of the rare J2 option was in 1957, and this ones got it! The J2 was the first in a series of options Oldsmobile used to bring performance buyers into their showrooms! The J2 Rocket has 2 objectives, economy when the driver wants it, and power when he needs it! 300 hp, and 415 lb/ft of tourque @ 3000 RPM!! Styling was compltely redone for 1957 as well, including the grille mounted parking lamps, and pillared rear window effect. With a complet, and accurate restoration completed in early 1994, this car was featured in a classics display at the 1994 Chicago International Automobile show in Feb of 1994. This car has been driven. and kept in spectacular working order, with an open checkbook attitude by its owner. A wonderful car to own!!
