Many new changes were introduced with the new 1963 Series 3 Alpine. Two different models were available, the GT (Grand Turismo) hard top, and ST (Sports Tourer) convertible. This 1963 Sunbeam Alpine ST is truly a unique little sports car that has been owned by the same couple since new and only has 84,000 original miles. Finished in the highly desirable Embassy Black exterior with a Black Canvas Convertible Top that folds neatly into a unique storage area that was ahead of its time. This care features the original 1.5 Liter Inline 4 Cylinder engine, close ratio 4-speed, and twin Zenith Carburetors. The Carnival Red Vinyl Interior is complimented by adjustable microcell seats and telescoping steering wheel, both of which were new for 1963. An aftermarket AM/FM Radio has been added to accommodate the current listening standards of modern day drivers. Series 3's can be identified by the tall fins and large open trunk. Not only was the trunk modified and the fuel tank split into two tanks mounted in each rear wing, but the windshield design was changed as well to accommodate fixed quarter lights. With a production number of only 5863 units, this makes the Series 3 ST the most desirable of the Alpines to collectors today. Having just completed a thorough TLD inspection and detailing, this car is now ready for show and many years of driving pleasure.
