In 1963, the horsepower trend was continuing, with the top Chevy Impala SS 409 featuring, solid hydraulic lifters and twin 4 barrel carburetors, all making 425hp. The exterior SS options are the circular SS logo on the rear quarter as well as the wheels. On the interior, the SS featured a bucket seat interior, wheel mounted tachometer, passenger side grab bar, and shifter plate. The SS coupe featured a smaller rear window and ribbed roof to mimic the look of a convertible top. This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 Coupe is truly stunning, finished in White with a Red interior. The original 409 / 425hp engine has been rebuilt to precise 425hp specs and has been upgraded from the original 340hp. Also equipped is the smooth shifting Powerglide Automatic Transmission. This car has received our thorough TLD inspection to ensure that this Impala drives as well as it looks. Factory options include the Super Sport Package, Power Steering, Push Button Radio, Padded Dash, Rear Seat Speaker, Tinted Windshield, and Rear Manual Antenna. In today's sports car market, the Impala SS is highly desirable, and even more so is one with the factory 409 option.
