The subject of the most successful new-car launch in automotive history, Ford Motor Company's sporty Mustang quickly matured with its first restyling for the 1967 model year. Today, these updated models are highly sought-after by Mustang collectors for their outstanding looks, obvious performance potential and upscale, Grand Touring character.
Clearly benefiting from a rotisserie restoration and custom build completed during 2016 by Vails Classic Cars in Greenfield, Indiana, this Pro touring-style 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible was formerly under nearly three decades of single-owner care and ownership. Finished in Blue with a new cloth top and new Black interior with soundproofing, the Mustang is power4ed by a rebuilt A-Code 289 CI V-8 engine. Performance upgrades include Trick Flow aluminum cylinder heads and an Edelbrock carburetor atop an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. Other mechanical updates include new head gaskets, a new water pump and fuel pump, a new alternator, and a new timing-cover gasket. An updated Tremec 5-speed manual transmission delivers the power.
Other choice highlights include new electrical wiring, an original radio with rebuilt internals supporting, a turn-signal hood and California Special-style rear spoiler, and a modified and lowered suspension setup. Rolling stock includes a set of 17-inch, late-model Mustang 5-spoke alloy wheels. Contact us to check out this handsome and highly enjoyable 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible today!
