Returning for 1967, Pontiac's wildly successful Le Mans-based GTO featured select styling updates and numerous functional upgrades. It also continued for the second model year as a unique Pontiac series. Engines were upsized for '67 to 400 CI with a 335-HP unit standard and 255-HP "economy" unit optional, plus the 360-HP 400 HO (High Output) A choice of close-ratio 4-speed manual or Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmissions was available, with a heavy duty Safe-T-Track rear end delivering the power to the road.
