1967 Jaguar E-Type Convertible. Burgundy with a black interior. This magnificent 67 E-Type has just been the object of a complete full restoration to a very high quality and as such is in excellent condition. The exterior is exceptionally straight, sporting a like new paint surface. The interior has been completely restored as well, showing as it did off the assembly line. The underside is just as nice as the top side, and this E-Type is in truly breathtaking condition overall. A Series 1 car, it features the original 4.2L straight-6 engine, fully synchromesh 4-speed, and desirable triple SU carbs in their final year before being switched to the horsepower robbing Stromberg units in 68. The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public in 1961 as a grand tourer; a two seater coupe and a convertible. When released Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made". The model was made in 3 distinct versions generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3". All E-Types featured independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bar front ends, and four wheel disc brakes, in-board at the rear, all were power-assisted. Slide into our E-Type and you are transported back to the pinnacle of Jaguar history. A timeless dashboard greets you, the center of which is adorned with an array of classic aircraft style switchgear. Throw the car into first gear, and you will note the extremely positive shifter and well defined gates. The steering wheel is well proportioned, allowing for ample leverage at both high and low speeds. New leather bucket seats surround you and the ride is sportscar taut, but not harsh in any way. Keep the top down and you are truly driving a British automotive highlight.
