This restored 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is finished in a stunning Ultra Stage II Gulf Blue with contrasting Ivory Vinyl Interior. The detailed engine compartment includes the single-port, line bored 1500cc 4 cylinder with an upgraded Bosch distributor and coil mated to the swing axle 4-speed manual transmission with a short throw shifter. Complimenting this car is a raised floor mounted Oil Pressure Gauge, Steel Sunroof and upgraded JVC AM/FM Cassette Stereo. The front turn signals have been shaved from the tops of the fenders and relocated to just above the front bumper. All body side mouldings and emblems have been removed and filled for a clean look. The great looking, aggressive stance was achieved by lowering the car 3 inches via an adjustable front beam and lowered KYB gas shocks on all of its corners. The wheels are chromed VW pieces. 1967 is one of the most unique years for the Beetle, and is consequently one of the most sought after. A number of features were added in 67, including a 12V electrical system, dual speed wipers, reverse lights, separate front and rear brake circuits, as well as additional horsepower bringing the total to 57hp. This thrust the Beetle into the modern era while leaving the vast majority of its classic styling up to this point intact. The body would be redesigned the following year, making 1967 a special year for the car indeed. This award winning 1967 VW Beetle is in excellent restored condition. Fit and finish are both very good, and the interior shows very little signs of wear. This is truly a unique collectible that is a pleasure to both drive and show. Having just completed a thorough TLD service and inspection, this car must be seen to be truly appreciated!
