This 1968 Austin Mini MK II with only 23,000 original miles is an extremely rare find! The Mini is finished in a beautiful red exterior and matching red interior. It is equipped with the larger, more desirable 998cc engine and automatic transmission. With the left-hand drive, it can be driven anywhere. Everything on this car is ORIGINAL. The Mini was first introduced in England in 1959 and was produced until 2000. When it ended its production, over 5.3 million Minis had been sold, making it by far the most popular British car ever made. In fact the Mini managed second place (behind only the Model T Ford) for "Global Car of the Century" in a worldwide poll run by the prestigious Global Automotive Electronics Foundation in 1999. The transverse engine location, the exceptionally accommodating interior and many details of the design and finish make this remarkable car, according to many reviewers, and "Icon of the 20th Century". And an affordable one at that! This Mini MK II was purchased in England and spent several years covered in a garage in Canada. We recently acquired it, and after an exhaustive search, determined that it was exactly what we thought... an absolutely ORIGINAL car... inside and out. It has been subjected to and passed our extensive inspection process and may be confidently owned for years. This piece of automotive history must be seen to appreciate its uniqueness!
