The 300SEL 6.3 started when an engineer for Mercedes-Benz had a vision to create a luxury sport sedan. On his own time, he took a 6.3 Liter V8 engine from the huge Mercedes 600-series limousine and transplanted it into the much smaller 300SEL. The engine that fit with only inches to spare made for a sedan that was just as fast as if not faster than any Porsche of its time. This engine combined with the unique use of an airbag based suspension setup made for a car that was not only fast, but one that also handled incredibly and had a very comfortable ride, not to mention seating for 5. This pristine example in Blue with Cognac leather interior is the nicest we have ever seen. We replaced the brakes, installing new calipers, pads, and rotors. Additionally we replaced the airbags for the suspension system in all four corners. All mechanical issues have been properly sorted and this car is all set to go!
