A recipient of a flawless fresh exterior restoration in the brilliant Inka Orange, this 4 Speed Targa is truly a rare find. This 1973 BMW 2002 Baur Targa was part of a limited production run of 1963 units, between 1971 and 1975 by BMW factory authorized Karosserie Baur. They were also responsible for models such as the BMW M1 and Porsche 959. A removable Targa Top rests above the front passenger compartment, behind it a soft Cabriolet Top folds back to give the rear passengers a peak at the sun. All worn weather stripping and seals have been replaces with new OEM parts. The Chrome front bumper with Cebie Driving Lights, rear bumper and stainless steel moldings around the entire exterior of this car are in near perfect condition. Power comes from its original and efficient 2 Liter Inline 4 cylinder engine and 4 Speed Manual Transmission that has been regularly serviced and maintained. The un-restored Cocoa Brown Vinyl Interior is in good Original condition and shows normal wear for its age. The Nardi steering wheel is a nice accent and music comes from an AM/FM Stereo Radio with CD player. A through TLD service and inspection have been performed to ensure that this car meets our strict standards. This car has won Awards around the Chicagoland area, including the Peoples Choice Award at a 2008 Windy City BMW event. This is the automobile that put BMW on the map. A heritage of high performance is its legacy. Here is your chance to own a little history.
