Debuted at the October 1962 London Motor Show, the MGB succeeded the MGA, Abingdons first modern sports car. Featuring bold and totally modern design, the MGB went on to become Britains most successful sports car, with some 515,000 produced through 1980. Racing success was strong and helped propel sales, including a class win and 11th overall at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1967. Today, the MGB remains as popular as ever, thanks to plentiful parts, a strong and knowledgeable enthusiast base, clean good looks, and sheer fun factor. The fixed-roof MGB GT was styled by Pininfarina and introduced for 1965 and built through 1980. Adding all-weather comfort and usability to the beloved MGB, the GT continues to stand the test of time for its effective design, fabulous looks, and of course, the incomparable  driving experience delivered by the MGB.

Offered in spectacular condition this 1973 MG MGB GT is understood to have been a longtime California-based example and it clearly continues to benefit handsomely from a restoration performed to excellent standards. Just under 37,000 miles are indicated. Colors are excellent, comprising a Mallard Green paint finish and tan interior. BMCs robust 1.8-liter twin-carbureted engine delivers 79 factory-rated horsepower in concert with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Stopping power provided with a set of disc brakes in front. The MGBs great looks are enhanced by a set of wire-spoke wheels. Additional items include an owners manual, toolkit and spare, plus a shop manual. Freshly detailed, this captivating 1973 MG MGB GT is an outstanding example of one of the most popular and influential sports cars ever to come to America from Great Britain.
