1974 Triumph TR6. Properly refinished in the factory original yellow with an exceptional original brown interior. Meticulously maintained with service records and ownership history dating back to 1996. Recent mechanical work includes a complete engine and carb rebuild as well as new suspension including bushings and shocks. Finally, a new clutch was installed and the brakes received an overhaul including new master cylinder, calipers, pads, and rotors. The Triumph TR6 was unveiled in 1969 and the best-seller of the TR range. The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, but the front and back ends were squared off, updating the look and creating a sleeker feel. All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, and was coupled with a four-speed manual transmission. The TR6 also featured independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, and front disc brakes. Like many British classic makes, the Triumph TR6 is supported by active clubs and reliable service parts suppliers. This TR6 is a quintessential British sportscar through and through. Pull the choke, turn the center mounted key, and the engine springs to life immediately. The inline 6-cylinder engine delivers smooth, brisk power and the 4-speed transmission is tight with a positive feel. Steering is very direct, and the taut suspension holds the tires to the road and allows for a truly fun, spirited drive.
