Recalling the sporting and luxurious character of the "Letter Series" 300 models offered by Chrysler during the 1950s and 1960s, the Crossfire was produced for just 2004-08. A combination of fresh new styling, proven Mercedes-Benz mechanicals, and high-quality construction by the renowned Karmann coachworks in Germany, the Crossfire was the first new Chrysler production model following the 1998 Daimler-Chrysler merger. Credit for the Crossfire's styling goes to Chrysler stylist Eric Stoddard, who designed the breathtaking 2001 Crossfire concept car, with refinements for production readiness penned by Andrew Dyson. All 2004 Crossfires were sleek, low-profile Coupes, designated as 'Limited,' equipped with a wide array of standard features and amenities included.
